I am only the tiniest bit sore from the 75 mile ride to and from Auburn (and back up Madison Valley to my home). It was a great day with lovely people and nice weather. I didn’t bring my camera, so I relied on my friends with iphones to document the day:
Above I am teaching a yoga warm up for cyclists. It was wonderful to just have folks hop on in and warm up a bit. I also had the chance to meet a few people in real life who had read my blog. Plus I saw people stretching out through out the day with stretches I suggested!
Here is a picture my friend Marie took of me doing a celebratory handstand at the Tilth Farm(aka The United People’s Farm). I loved the tour from Eddie and a chance to see what is growing up there! The next time I am at the Central Co-Op I will be looking for signs noting which veggies were grown at the United People’s Farm and be sure to support them. This farm is a vital part of a sustainable food system. This is just the beginning and I am so excited to be apart of it all!
Speaking of beginnings, make sure to stop by the ground breaking of the new Alleycat Acres Urban Farm at MLK & Cherry next Saturday March 10th starting at Noon! I will sneak as much time as I can getting dirty between teaching yoga and the working at Rainbow Natural Remedies!
Yeeeeeeah! What a great resource hub this is for people in your area about great healing fun connecting events and the wonderful union of yoga and bikes! Wow! 🙂 It seems we have a lot in common.. I just moved to LA, am a farmer, and am starting an urban food forest with some amigas 😀 blessSings to you!
I loved the yoga before the ride, Kelli! Thanks again for teaching that mellow and uber-helpful class.I can’t wait for some rides from Gasworks and Cal Anderson Parks this summer!!
