Denver’s Bike Sharing Program Rocks

Rock on Denver! My hometown was the first of three cities to start an amazing bike share program! Read more about it here.

Using B-Cycle, a system where members whether for a day at $5 or $65 for a year, can sign in pick a bike, ride for a half hour and return it to another station. This gives riders enough time to ride from one side of the city to the other. It is perfect for commuters, errands and tourists. The program has really taken off with over 8,000 registered users, including 800 annual memberships.

This program makes me really excited. I love Denver. It is a beautiful city, perfect for biking with sunny days, flat plains and the Cherry Creek Bike Path. Minneapolis also recently launched there own bike share program. Hopefully this delightful trend will take off all over the country. Bicycles take over!
